Cribbage was Invented by English poet and playwright Sir John Suckling around 1631, this fast-paced card game is unusual in that it traditionally uses a board to keep track of the score. Suckling, something of a scoundrel was known for his money chasing gambling habits and risky lifestyle - risks that eventually did him in at the ripe old age of 32.

The game of Cribbage is characterised by elegance and provides enjoyment as a pastime with just the appropriate mix of skill and chance.

Learning cribbage is not difficult but will take some time to master which is probably the reason why people were so enthusiastic to learn and why the game has endured.

Board measures a generous 34 by 14cm.
