Fair Trade, Hand Made Gifts and Products from Lima, Peru.
Mu Torere is played on a game board ("papa takaro"), or scribbled into clay or sand. Two players participate in the game. There are usually eight points ("kewai") on a board, although some tribes played with over forty points. There is always one centre point ("putahi").
It is one of the only board games that the Māori people and Polynesian people are known to have played before the arrival of the British Empire on their shores.
