The essence of Congklak (also called Dakon, Conglak) is collecting as many shells into your storage hole as you can. The win and loss of this board game is determined by the number of the shells collected.

Educational. Congklak game is used not only for entertainment but also for children as a way of increasing alertness and competence in maths.

These hand made board game are made by a small Fair Trade organisation in Java known as Apikri. The beauty of this organisation is that it is held together by families.
