The original chessmen, found on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland, is the most famous chess find in history, dating back to the Vikings of the mid 12th century.

While being faithful to the forms of the famous 12th century Lewis chessmen, this chess set has been re-sized and tastefully re-arranged to maximise convenience in modern play.

Lewis Chess Set with Storage

 

 The Chessmen are durable cast hydrostone and all the detail has been done by hand.

Like most fine chess pieces, these chessmen feature felt paddings on the bottom of each piece, for comfort of play and protection of the board.

King measures 5.5cm Tall.
