This Chess set is hand decorated with elegant carving and wood burning techniques from craftsman in the Tatra Mountains of Poland.

These large and very beauitful pieces origiante from Giewont Massif Tatra Mountians Poland
Giewont (pronounced Gyeh-vont) which is a mountain massif in the Tatra Mountains of Poland.

Each chess set is hand tooled using one of European Maple, Sychamore or Hornbeam wood and comes complete with a beautiful large board for Display. The large dark pieces are the result of wood burning and polishing techniques unique to Poland.
