Senet is the oldest board game whose ancient existence has been confirmed, dating to circa 3500 BC and can be seen being played by Queen Nefertari in a wall painting found inside her tomb (1295–1255 BC).
Pre-dating backgammon, it's a race game of th first order. Pieces include ancient four-sided dice replica's, traditional Egyptian throwing sticks and a solid hard wood playing board.
