This is an unusually high quality chess set, finely finished of quality materials. The chess board is of solid wood, approx 26x23cm. A smooth stained finish and printed in gold. The pieces are solid 2-tone plastic, just about 2.5cm in diameter, white on top, clear on the bottom, with a sparkling gold showing on the underside of each piece.

The animal figures shown on the chess pieces are internationally friendly renditions of the animals they represent. This chess for kids comes in a custom fitted felt pouch.

The chess pieces fit neatly into a square compartment in the folding board, and the chess board is held closed with a magnet.
